You tell me this
when clearly I know
it’s that
yet you
get my mind outta whack
makin me retract
think back
perhaps I didn’t know
the facts
distracting my accusations
maybe it was just a hallucination
a figment of my imagination
the after affects of some orange juice?????
Clearly I’m confused
all I know is
I love you
so I ignore the probable
and believe the impossible
yeah that wasn’t you
that must’ve been
your man’s n them
or maybe just a mirage
my delusions
your façade
and you applaud
at your ability to sway me
I know I’m not crazy
he just mesmerizes me
and I forget all sense and sensibility
the truth could probably be
sitting next to me
and I still wouldn’t see
perhaps its the way
he throws that D
and I pretend its bliss
disregard my sixth sense
makeup and then kiss
never realizing

You know when you have that gut feeling that something isn’t right, yet you play it down, perhaps disregard it, you might even ask your mate about it, only for them to come up with something so clever you figure you were just tripping….. or were you??
While I wrote this from a females point of view, it could be from either sex…the mind games, why do we play?

Great Poem Tina. I think everyone at some time or another (post High School) has been in a courting situation that just didn’t feel right! When it’s a gut feeling or intuition that something just isn’t right - that is your soul talking, and I never ignore that….if something does not feel right, ignoring it will never make it better. If anything it will make that individuals questionable behavior (male or female) worse (in my opinion)…so my advice is always to address whatever is troubling you and if the red flags still remain or you do not get ur questions answered, then u have to remove yourself from that situation. Now if it’s a situation where children are involved then it becomes a little more difficult because you then have to consider how your actions will affect the child/children, and proceed with thier best interest in mind.
Tina, you know, men go through the same seesaw journey when they meet a woman who blows their mind with all her goods, but deep down inside the man knows that it’s not right, that it won’t work, but he’s so stuck on what she has between her legs and how she moves in the bedroom as well as how she kisses him that he overlooks all the wrongs for as long as possible. Often, it can be quite some time before he’s able to call it quits and wak away.

I try very hard to avoid such things! It seems as though many get caught up in the madness because they are blinded by love! It’s hard to see straight … even with blinders on!
