I. Am.
I. AM.
I am
The sun
That glides across
Your face
When you wake
I am the space
Between daylight
And nightfall
I am probable cause
I am all
That you dream
And when it seems
You are on the wrong path
I am there
To take your hand
I am
The reason
You are here
And not there
Even when its not fair
I am
Everywhere
I am
Your last breath of air
I am
The answer
And the question
I am the lesson
I am
Circumstance
Karma
And consequence
I am kismet
I am an
Imminent moment in time
I am
The reason you are alive
(that you strive)
I am
Stress
I am
Strife
I am death
And life
Your destiny
Your smile
Your frown
What turned the day around
I am love
And heart ache
I am the turn
In the road you take
I am addiction
And prediction
I am
What is already written
I am every action
And reaction
I am the distraction
In your ear
That lil voice that you hear
That draws you near
I am the next move that you make
There is no escape
I am
FATE.

Fate: Something that unavoidably befalls a person, no matter their actions, it was meant to happen and you and I are right where we are suppose to be, or are we? Is it fate that makes a man homeless, causes a mother to bury her own child, offers treasures to the vain, and hardship to the hard-worker, is it fate that brought you here, to this blog, how will this piece fit, in your puzzle of life…..do you control your destiny?? Do you believe in FATE??? ~TD

This question has been asked over and over again and I think the answers are about 50/50 in those that believe and those who do not. While the poem is phenomenal and actually drew me in to the point where I “almost’ believed that maybe there could be something to this whole fate/destiny thing, at the end of the day I just cannot conclude that I have absolutely no control over the things that happen to me in my life. It’s all about the choices we make and what we chose will determine our paths.
Just like the saying “people come into your life for a reason” - while I know this to be true in some cases, I have also had a lot of random people in my life that served absolutely no purpose at all other than to merely exist with very little impact on me or my life.
In my mind, nothing (including fate) can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal and being where they want to be in life; yet nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude. The key is to keep growing in all areas of life - mental, emotional, spiritual, as well as physical, if you do that nothing but good will come to you.

I mean seriously..can I just sit indian style in your head for like just ONE poem writting session? lol
I believe in God…..He determines all things….
I love it Tina! I think we control most of our own fate by the decisions we make.
I believe that fate is first determined by pre-destination. So, that makes fate two-fold, somewhat of a destiny by choice…if that makes sense.
I know that in my life when it came down to making a decision there was always TWO that stuck out. Those TWO choices, I believe, already had the “plan” laid out for me.
As we continue through life making right and wrong choices, the ultimate goal is for us to eventually get back on the path that God intended for us to travel.
Now, depending on how many right turns you make versus lefts, depends on the relationship you have with God and whether you are able to LISTEN.
Yes, it is fate that some people struggle and experience hard times, but struggle always is NEVER the plan. That’s why you have people like my aunt who spent 20 years of her life on drugs, yet today can stand before us and say “I’m celebrating 7 years of sobriety!!”
So, yes, we are always right where we are supposed to be because even when we make a wrong turn, a right is just one block away.
hey, Im traveling from LA to NY and checking this blog on my HTC and its looking sort of crazy so Im leaving a message so I can come back and finish reading it when i get off the plane.
