My Story

Tina Divina

I am a Poet….A creative writer if you will, I have a vivid imagination and have been blessed with the ability to write about things I have only seen in my dreams. But let’s rewind…..

This is my story.

I am a divorcee and single mother of one, I grew up in Redondo Beach, CA with my mother and grandmother. Early on I always had a fascination with my grandmother’s profession as a Psychotherapist, specializing in marriage counseling and sex therapy. I would sneak and dabble in my grandmother’s books and took a great interest in the subject, thus becoming the one my friends would go to for advice. Quite naturally I saw this open communication to be normal, and approached the touchy subjects un-opinionated and un-daunted.

I first made my creative mark in the industry several years ago as a Fashion Stylist and Personal Shopper, but it was my love for writing that began opening many doors for me. I began working under the likes of acclaimed video directors, writing music video treatments that would turn my words into production. Quite a satisfying feeling. I recently, co-wrote and co-produced two short films, “The Morning After” and “Crazy in Love” with director Ev Salomon that is currently in post production. But I’m not stopping there.

I began several years ago (and quite by accident, without even realizing what I was doing initially) blogging my ideas of love and relationships in the form of thought provoking and mentally stimulating poems (if I say so myself) that brought about conversation of the masses. Posing questions, that you thought of, but wouldn’t dare say, challenging one’s mindset, and pushing the envelope, my subscribers and fans grew. I became the proclaimed “Blog Diva”, launching my own website (www.tinadivina.com) and writing a weekly blog on love and relationships.

Today I am one of the five personalities on the hit radio show, “The Claudia Jordan Show and Friends” on Sirius 106 and XM 149, the Foxxhole Network (www.sirius.com/thefoxxhole) that airs weekly, every Monday evening at 7pm PST in which I recite an original poem that I have written.

I feel there are far too many words left unsaid, and things that are taboo. I believe communication is the key to bridging the gaps that separate us. “Living in Hollywood, I find people walk with their guards up, everyone has their ‘Glamour’ face on, fake representations of who they are. I find myself wanting to tap into that, wanting to bypass those walls, break barriers, lose inhibitions, and learn the truths.” - Tina Divina Blog Diva

I am there seeking to branch out by the pulse of kinetic energy and destiny. My adoration for Gustav&Freud stimulates the right and left frontal lobe.

    Continued success to you!

  9. Do you remember posing for some photographs some years ago for a friend named Benell Grant? I was the photographer. We went to Pasadena and you stood in a little stream with some denim shorts. Then we went downtown and then ended up at the beach. I have a great shot of you in a dark dress sitting in the surf. It’s great to see you are just as lovely as you ever were. The poetry side of you is just a plus I didn’t know about.
